GET TO KNOW COLORADO SPRINGS SWITCHBACKS BEFORE SUNDAY'S MATCH

Austin, TX (September 6, 2019) The Bold are on the road this weekend taking on Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at Weidner Field at 7:00 PM CT. Sunday's game is the second meeting between the two Western Conference rivals. At Bold Stadium, Austin's Own dominated the Switchbacks with a resounding 5-0 win with goals from Andre Lima, Francis Atuahene, and Xavi Baez. The Colorado-based club made changes after the match by parting ways with head coach Steve Trittschuh and promoting assistant Wolde Harris on an interim basis. Harris' tenure started well with two standout victories against Tulsa Roughnecks FC and OKC Energy FC in early July, but the team's performances dipped once again. Other than decent draws against Portland Timbers 2 and Rio Grande Valley FC, Switchbacks struggled to take home all three points in a match since July 20. The Bold should be wary of taking Colorado Springs too lightly. Marcelo Serreano's team continues to struggle outside of the Capital City. New signings George Acosta and Gustavo Rissi will look to bring the spark needed to turn around The Bold's road woes.
