Austin, TX (August 23, 2019) The Bold are on the road this week to take on OKC Energy FC at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City at 8:00 PM CST. Saturday night will be the second meeting between Austin’s Own and the Energy. Last time these two sides met on May 10, The Bold left Bold Stadium with a 2-1 victory and all three points. Steve Cooke’s men have notched impressive wins in the past few months against Tacoma Defiance, Las Vegas Lights FC, and Portland Timbers 2. Through the 2019 USL Championship season, OKC has struggled with closing out games with nine draws. The last three draws in which they’ve scored, the Energy got on the scoresheet first only to let other clubs equalize. Cooke wouldn’t be too worried about this ongoing trend. Even with these draws, his team currently sits in a playoff spot in a very congested USL Championship Western Conference. A run of good form can see them nab a first-round home playoff match.
